Quae autem ex utraque parte in humeris fibulâ stringebantur, Graecis χιτῶνες ςχιςτοι, συμπόρπητοι, et ῥαπτοὶ dicebantur, quibus oppositae tunicae ἄῤῥαφοι, inconsutiles, ex toto tectae conclusaeque et nulla parte sutiles scissilesque erant, quemadmodum interulae nostrae sunt; sive lineae, sive laneae. Satum enim hîc pro sibulatum, uti resutum, apud Suetonium Aug. c. 94. pro resibulatum poni, vel hinc pateat, quôd ῥαφίδα περόνην dicunt Grammatici, et συῤῥάπτειν περόναις, legimus apud Lucianum Dial.
